Hey Randy, So the company I need to know about is AB Imports, Inc. They may have moved a couple of doors down from where they used to be (or maybe not) - either way, I doubt that they will have a sign. The building at the new address that they filed with the Arizona Corporations Commission has a sign outside that reads "Arizona Best Carpentry". I checked out Arizona Best Carpentry - they are a very legit business, have been in business for a long time, and don't appear to have anything to do with AB Imports. So I've been thinking about it and can only come up with two scenarios. One possibility is that the carpentry place actually did move out and left their sign hanging, and AB Imports moved in and didn't bother taking the sign down. The other possibility is that AB Imports' location doesn't have a mailbox and their mail was getting returned, so they gave their neighbor's address to the AZ Corporation Commission and now pick up their mail from him. I guess one sounds just as likely as the other. Both adresses are on the same block, probably in the same building, and maybe right next door to each other. If you wouldn't mind checking both addresses when you are there, I would really appreciate it. The address they have been in for a long time (and may still be) is 4222 S. 37th St.; the address that they have supposedly moved to (but possibly did not) is 4234 S. 37th St. I should have asked you how long you were going to be in Phoenix; I was hoping you could check it out sometime during business hours on a weekday. If you really want to be a sleuth, you could go into the place and pretend to be looking for some other business. If you want to have a cover story going into 4222, there used to be a business there, years ago, named the Arizona Stair Company (they also dealt in fences). Google couldn't find anything about prior tenants at 4234, so I assume he must have been there for a long, long time, but the owner of Arizona Best Carpentry is named John Clark Jr. Maybe you could chat them up after you realize that the prior tenants are gone now and say, "oh really...so what do you guys sell?" I really appreciate anything you can find out or see - any visible merchandise, fixtures, or anything that can be siezed and auctioned off. From what I can gather, their business basically operates in October, November, and December working 3-month leases in mall kiosks for the Christmas season, so I really need to act soon if I expect to be able to catch the corporation with any assets. It looks like they do have money, though, around this time of year - I found a website that tracks the finances of corporations and they estimate AB Imports to make $680,000 annually with 7 employees (boy, it chaps my ass that they screwed me for a couple thousand). Anyway, thanks again. I owe you big time. Let me know... Cheers Adam
